How hypnotherapy for insomnia and anxiety service works

Allow up to 1.5 hours
A standard hypnotherapy session is typically 1 hour, but I always allow 1½ hrs to ensure we have plenty of time and so that you don’t feel rushed.

Work in-person or remotely
In person work from my private secluded home address in Stow-on-the Wold. Or remotely via Zoom, you just need to have a quiet space to talk and that you can lay back and relax during trance.

First part of the session involves psychotherapy/talking therapy
My approach is primarily solution focused. I prioritise exploring how you would feel if you had a good night's sleep, what difference it would make to your life, emphasising forward-focused strategies. While occasional discussions about the past may occur, my main objective is to help you shift away from problems and towards a more positive future.

Second part of the session involves trance
The second part of the session will involve trance which is a deep, relaxed state where your brain becomes highly receptive to positive suggestions. It resets neuro pathways allowing you to feel calm, relaxed and fall asleep easily and naturally.

Ending the session
Feeling a little lighter and brighter than when you first walked in and able to maintain this positive feeling going forward.

Insomnia Therapist

Price - £125 per session

Hello, I am Lisa, a qualified hypnotherapist and insomnia therapist. You can find out more about me here.

As your therapist during hypnotherapy for insomnia, I work with you on a conscious level to help you understand how your thoughts and emotions affect your brain, and in turn how they affect your well being and sleep quality.

And from a subconscious level during hypnotic trance the neuro-pathways are re-balanced, ensuring that you have a good night's sleep every night and wake up in the morning with energy and focus to tackle the day ahead.

Doctors come from the physical perspective, hypnotherapy comes from the psychological perspective. Too much stress and anxiety can leave you lying awake at night with thoughts racing around your head.

The goal of hypnotherapy for sleep and anxiety conditions is to re-balance the subconscious mind to promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and create a sense of peace and tranquillity before bedtime. It can help you let go of the racing thoughts and worries that often accompany insomnia, allowing you to drift off into a restful sleep more easily.

Testimonials

“I love my sessions with Lisa, not only have they got me motivated, they have helped me de-stress no end. Feeling SO much better, sleeping so much better, and making better life choices all round. Thoroughly recommend”

“I saw an advert for Solution-Focused hypnotherapy in a local magazine. It contained a testimonial from someone who had suffered crippling anxiety, insomnia and depression for most of their life. They were quoted as saying that Lisa had ‘given them back their life’. Although sceptical about the claim I was willing to try the treatment as I, too, had been suffering from lack of sleep for about 7 years as well as increasing anxiety about everything. I had come to the point where I was considering medication but felt this was a far better approach if it worked. I felt that I was becoming a recluse; unwilling to socialise with people I didn’t know well, reluctant to push myself forward into new situations, feeling inadequate, incapable, unproductive, staying in the safe environment of my home rather than interacting with others.

Lisa informed me that most people need about 12 sessions and although this is not a cheap process I felt that my health was certainly worth the investment. I can’t explain how it works but it does. Within a week of my first session I was sleeping well. Before the treatment I would have about one good night’s sleep every 2-3 weeks, now it is one not so good night every 2-3 weeks.

Dealing with the anxiety has been a harder process but gradually as the treatment progressed, I was able to focus on the many positive things in my life and cease to worry about the rest. I feel calmer than I have for years, far more positive, more productive and can now just enjoy being in the present. Some days the old feelings return but I no longer anguish about them knowing that the next day can be better. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this form of hypnotherapy, especially with Lisa, to anyone.”
